Personal Ayurveda consultations are available by phone, email and in person. In a consultation, a brief health history and lifestyle inquiry is made. According to Ayurvedic principles, recommendations are made. For example, seasonal changes, daily routine, specific exercise and diet, etc. A one on one personal consultation will go into more depth for an individual than what a workshop can offer.

Ayurveda is a 5,000 year old medical science and complement of Yoga. "Ayurveda Simplified" with David Timbs, is a workshop loaded with practical information that empowers people on how to balance their own health and well being through very simple and easy to do methods. Especially helpful to employees in the work place. David is an Ayurvedic practitioner with over 27 years experience in the field. Ayurveda Simplified Suggested Course Content: 2-6 hours Definition: Science of Life or Longevity. Applicable to any era or culture. 8 branches of Ayurveda History: 5-6,000 years old. Based on the observation of Nature and the insight of the Rishis 5 Elements;Their Actions, Locations, Emotions, etc Sutras: Memory keys. Give examples Definitions of Prakriti, Dosha, and Dhatu Questionnaire to work out ones own Dosha Ojas v Ama. The outcomes of good or bad digestion Physical Diet: Solid, Liquids, Air. Rituals for eating etc. Mental Diet: Sensory input and their corresponding Doshas Times of the day and the corresponding Doshas Six Stages of Disease Diagnosis: Observation, Palpation, and Questioning 7 Tissues 3 Malas: Wastes products Treatment: Daily routine/lifestyle, Diet, Seasonal Change Routine, Herbs/Aromas/oils etc. A diagrammatic complete overview of the outcomes of good or bad digestion or the result of healthy outcomes v disease outcomes 4 Goals in Life.
The presentation and teaching style is informal, terms are easily understood, the intention is to make the experience enjoyable and fun, information is applied to the individual student when and were it is applicable and students have every opportunity to contribute during the teaching sessions. By the end of this introductory course the student should have acquired enough Ayurvedic knowledge for it to be of benefit to them for the rest of their lives.
